Meet Bushra Jung

If you have ever met Bushra you will know she is a highly credible Architectural Assistant with bags of passion and integrity. She’s also a lovely person and she’s great to work with.
Bushra really loves working at William Green Architects – why? She gets to be fully immersed in interesting projects that she may not get the chance to work on in a much bigger practice. Put simply, she really enjoys getting stuck into her work, creating some beautiful designs and managing significant projects.
And it’s not surprising given her background. As well as studying architecture in New Delhi where she grew up, Bushra also worked for the Organising Committee for the Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010. She’s happy to run projects and her passion is architecture – put the two together and Bushra is one happy team member. She is also passionate about sustainability in architecture and inspires us all on this topic.
Bushra is only 34 but she has lived a full and interesting life so far. In Delhi she grew up on a university campus where her family lived because her mother was a teacher there. She was inspired to become an architect by her sister – who is also an architect – although she was studying for a career in physics at the time. She has lived and worked in Delhi, Singapore and now the UK where she lives with her husband – and a growing collection of house plants – in Bicester.
Before Bushra worked for William Green Architects she worked as an Architectural Assistant in London and Windsor, gaining valuable experience before joining us here at William Green Architects.
As well as working for our busy practice, Bushra is also currently studying for her Part 3 Architecture qualification at UCL to become a recognised architect in the UK. According to Bushra:
“At William Green Architects I get great exposure to all types of projects and I am continually improving. My whole mindset around architecture has had to change since living in the UK – designing buildings in India is very different. Working in multiple countries has provided me with so much experience and the ability to learn new techniques quickly. I just enjoy being really involved and a key part of the William Green Architects team.”
