London Mews
Working in collaboration with our clients, we are investigating the comprehensive overhaul and transformation of the London Mews, located in the heart of Marylebone village. The project looks to reimagine the existing building, unlocking the full potential as a contemporary family home within an urban setting.
Our proposal comprises a complete refurbishment, alongside the introduction of a full basement extension and a new mansard roof addition. The design retains the existing façade only, enabling total design freedom over the interior, creating the opportunity for improved floor layout, a more considered stair arrangement and increased ceiling heights, all contributing to a greater sense of light and space throughout the home.
A sustainable overhaul is an integral part of the project. New high-performance triple glazed glazing will be installed throughout, insulation levels will be enhanced, and sustainable heating and air handling systems will be added to improve its environmental performance, and the long term comfort.
The design will sensitively, yet decisively, transform the existing well located mews house, to meet modern living standards, while creating an inspiring and distinctive family home for our clients’ future.
