We’re replacing a tired 1950s bungalow with a brand new, contemporary four-bed family home on Milton Road in Gayton, a village in West Northamptonshire.
The properties on Milton Road are diverse in style, appearance and quality and all have fantastic views to the north over farmland.
Our scheme involves demolishing the bungalow and positioning a new, contemporary four-bedroom home further back in its generous plot. This makes the house the star, allows room for a standalone double garage and aligns the front windows of the house with the glorious views.
In keeping with several other properties in the area, the new house will be a storey and a half in height, with low eaves and large, modern dormer windows on the first floor that provide visual impact and lessen the perceived scale of the property.
The ground floor has a hallway leading to a utility/boot room, a downstairs loo, a study and a very large kitchen-dining-family room. This living space leads to the rear garden and a cosy living room.
Upstairs there will be four bedrooms and three bathrooms. As the staircase to the first floor rises into one of the dormer windows, it will be flooded with natural light and provide fine views.
Builders are currently on site, and the house is due for completion in Spring 2023.
