The team at William Green Architects have been working hard on various interesting projects during Spring 2024 and we are pleased to bring you these updates.

On the drawing board
We currently have an exciting mix of projects in the pipeline. Amongst them are plans for a large extension to a substantial house in Gloucestershire which includes adding a swimming pool along with associated areas. The remodelling works of a 3-bed house in an Oxfordshire village to create a modern living environment and improve the flow of the property.
As seen in the image above, our designs achieved planning consent for the extension works to a large dwelling in a Bedfordshire village. Although the house is very spacious and in great condition, our clients approached us with a brief to create an extension for the master suite on the ground floor to avoid having to take the stairs.
We are thrilled about these instructions to showcase our creativity and we are always happy to receive more.
On-site
Several projects have started on site, including the construction of a large 4-bedroom house in a West Northamptonshire village, which we look forward to showcasing the progress upon over the next year. Currently, the existing house has just been demolished and the foundations are being set out - exciting times for all involved.
Likewise, a couple of projects have reached the very exciting completion stage recently, including this Buckinghamshire farmhouse project. The original farmhouse was made up of 3 distinct parts which we endeavoured to integrate and merge into a large family farmhouse taking advantage of its unique setting amongst the Buckinghamshire countryside. We are thrilled to have received the professional photographs, which we have been sharing with our clients and followers on our social media channels. Thoughts - Pools, Pool Pavilions and Pool Houses
William Green Architects embrace the opportunity that designing for a swimming pool presents. Whether indoors or outside, swimming pools often have open-plan space requirements served from more cellular functional spaces. A combination that can be both intimate and dramatic and be reflected in the Architecture.
Pools are the centre of attention for a significant period of the day, and so it is important the design caters for the changing needs of the users, from midday sun lounging to twilight suppers.
