We’ve been enjoying longer and brighter days so far this summer, leading to lots of creative thought and output. Here's a concise update to keep you informed.
It’s great to stay connected with clients, contractors, colleagues and friends. If you need our assistance, you can send us an email or call 0330 320 0665. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for regular updates. We also have a Pinterest board to inspire you.
We are currently enjoying a wide variety of projects on the drawing board.
We started working on concept designs for a comprehensive house refurbishment with extensions, for a single detached family house in Hertfordshire.
Our designs for a large extension to a Grade II listed building on the edge of the Cotswolds have been finalised, showcasing our commitment to preserving heritage while incorporating modern elements and bringing houses up to today’s living standards.
We've also recently submitted the designs for a new four-bedroom house in Oxford for planning approval.
We are thrilled to announce that our first residential project in London has gained planning permission. This marks a significant milestone for us.
Overall, our studio is thriving with creativity and innovation as we continue to embark on these diverse and exciting projects.
Construction of a new detached dwelling in Northamptonshire has recently been completed. This project involved demolition of an outdated bungalow and the strategic placement of this contemporary four-bedroom in a much better location on the generous plot. The new location is more prominent and aligns the front-facing windows of the house perfectly with the glorious views of the surroundings. We’ve also created space for a double garage.
We are looking forward to the house being professionally photographed soon.
The brief was to replace a 1950s bungalow with a new family house on the edge of our client’s commercial and agricultural estate in the beautiful village of Middle Aston, Oxfordshire. The house responds perfectly to its setting and is oriented to make the most of the amazing valley views. It uses the best of the local vernacular architectural styles in a contemporary way.
The arrival at a property can be a single moment or a sequence. It can be as simple as walking through a door, or it can involve opening a gate, strolling along a path, passing under an arch, ascending a step and finally reaching the entrance of a building. How this arrival sequence unfolds depends on various factors. In this article, we discuss our approach to the arrival and why it’s so important.
One of our goals is to work more extensively with schools and help them create imaginative, beautiful, impeccable buildings and facilities. Working on school projects gives us the opportunity to use the built environment to inspire young people.
We are keen to work on a variety of school building projects, including:
– Repair, maintenance and improvement of existing buildings and other facilities
– Extensions, refurbishment and re-purposing of existing buildings
– Design and construction of new school buildings and other facilities
– Masterplans and estates reviews
You can download our school practice profile here. William and Thomas are ready to talk to you about your school building project.
